“Hi Sonja, I actually cried when I saw the photos, they’re so incredible. I feel like the day was such a whirlwind, it is just so great to see these photos and know… it actually happened! I personally will forever be grateful for that quiet time in the cactus garden, a true highlight. We absolutely love the photos – thank you so much. They’re exactly what we were hoping for. What a gift you have!” Anthea
Ah, the lovely Anthea and Nick. What an absolutely beautiful wedding this was!!
Anthea and Nick’s wedding day was one of those days that had me smiling from ear to ear all day long. These two were meant to get married in March but sadly had to postpone due to the madness the world was in at the time. But the day finally came and oh am I glad I was there to document it all. These two were so much fun to be around and so happy to go with the flow that it was pure joy capturing memories for them. One of the highlights for me was getting to meet Anthea’s cat Scout – the little fur ball assisted me with the detail photos and even posed perfectly for her portrait!
And how can I forget the magical Sydney Royal Botanic Garden!! I’ve photographed in this special place many times and it always amazes me how different the garden is every time I venture in there. We arrived quite late in the afternoon and as it had been raining earlier in the day the Garden was practically deserted and we had the entire succulent garden to ourselves. Anthea and Nick’s reception was held at the beautiful Calyx – one of the most unique wedding venues in Sydney, with an outdoor terrace for alfresco drinks and a living plant wall as the backdrop.
Anthea and Nick, what can I say… Thank you for such a wonderful day and for trusting me to document these beautiful moments for you. Your energy, your smiles and your love for each other made this day so very special and such a pleasure to document. Loved every minute!! x
