When Ann contacted me about her and Warren’s Centennial Vineyards wedding and signed her email off with ‘fellow dog lover’ I knew I’d absolutely love working with these two. And the fact that they were tying the knot in the Southern Highlands was the icing on the cake.
On the day of the wedding, as I drove into Bowral I was absolutely awe struck by the orange and red trees lining the roads. I grew up in Europe and driving through Bowral totally took me back to European autumns with so much colour all around. It was absolutely breathtaking.
Ann and Warren. What can I say. One of the most chilled out, stylish and friendly couples I’ve had the pleasure to work with. The whole bridal party got ready in a beautiful Southern Highlands home and Ann’s little fur buddy Pippa was there to supervise the morning (see photos of her below, so gorgeous!). I must also mention Ann’s ridiculously beautiful Jane Hill wedding gown! Omg, I have not seen a dress this beautiful in a very long time. Just scroll down and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
The ceremony was held in the cutest little church in Berrima, followed by Ann and Warren walking out to massive cheers from their families and friends (and lots of confetti!).
As it was late autumn we didn’t have much light to play with and so we dashed to Centennial Vineyards where the reception was to be held to take photos in the fields before the sun set. We had to jump over a fence to get into a beautiful field filled with tall gum trees. Ann did better than me climbing that fence – in her wedding dress and long veil no less. The scenery was so dreamy, there was a haze in the distance which made the colours subdued but still so romantic – perfect for these two.
As the sun hit the horizon we walked back to the reception where to everyone’s surprise Cadbury (an alpaca) was waiting to take photos with the bridal party. He was so beautiful and so gentle, everyone loved having him around.
Night fell quickly and we made our way into the reception. The setting was impossibly beautiful, with a long garland made of gum tree leaves and fairy lights (hand-made no less!) towering over the main table. Candles were flickering on the tables, perfectly paired with the romantic floral arrangements by Sophie Rothwell.
If you are planning a Centennial Vineyards wedding I would love to chat to you, the property is beautiful and there are so many magical spots for photos – totally perfect for those of you who love nature!
