I always thought the name ‘Blue Mountains’ was somewhat mysterious. I imagined a deep forest, mossy paths and cool air around you as you explored and wandered around. This was my second trip to the Blue Mountains, the first only a couple of months ago when I attended a three-day photography conference. It was much cooler this time around, perfect for the scenery that was about to unfold in front of us. Our first stop was absolutely breathtaking. It was late morning but the fog was still deep in the valley. As the sun slowly made its way across the mountain range, the fog started to lift slowly over the cliffs. This was absolutely beautiful to witness. I took the camera along and snapped the things that caught my eye. I was especially drawn to photographing the amazingly textured trees. There’s so much more that we didn’t see and I can’t wait to return.
