As a wedding photographer I feel privileged and honoured to be invited into couples’ lives and to witness once in a lifetime moments. Even after almost 10 years of documenting weddings, I still get swept up in all the emotions and excitement of the day and I enjoy the celebrations as much as you and your loved ones. In fact, you might even see me get a bit teary-eyed during your speeches.

All my couples are very special to me and I like to invest the time to get to know you and what matters most to you. You will receive a truly bespoke and personalised experience. I approach each and every wedding with no preconceived ideas of how things should be.

When it comes to documenting your wedding day, my approach is relaxed and unobtrusive as I believe that the real and unposed moments make the best memories.

I want my images of your wedding day to serve as a beautiful and authentic record of one of the most important days of your life, to take you back in time whenever you feel like reminiscing and to make you smile when you see the faces of all the people who were there to celebrate with you.

FAQs

 

How many hours coverage do we need?

Here’s a general guide:

5 Hours Coverage – Ceremony, Family Photos, Portraits and Reception Formalities.

9 Hours Coverage – Bride and Groom getting ready (provided it’s a short drive between your getting ready locations), Ceremony, Family Photos, Portraits and usually all Reception formalities (depending on your reception timeline).

Customise Your Coverage – You can customise either of the above packages by adding additional time (in 30 minute or 1 hour increments). Maximum coverage is 10 hours.

 

When is the best time to hold our ceremony and reception?

In an ideal world, you should allow enough time between your ceremony and reception for congrats and mingles, family and group photos and wedding party location photos. You also need to factor in travel time if your ceremony and reception are held at different venues or if you want to do your location photos in another location.

In terms of timing for your ceremony and making the most of beautiful afternoon light, civil ceremonies should start no earlier than 3 to 4 hours before sunset. Anything earlier and you might be dealing with harsh light and strong shadows.

The same applies to religious ceremonies, just add on a bit of extra time to allow for a longer service.

 

How many images do we receive? And do you select the images we receive?

You can expect to receive approximately 70 images per hour of shooting. For a 9 hour wedding day I generally deliver around 600-900 images. I select all of your images carefully and each image is individually edited by me personally to tell your story in the best and most authentic way possible.

When do we receive our images?

Within a week of your wedding day I will email through a preview gallery of highlights for you to share with your loved ones.

Your full gallery will be ready within 8 weeks of your wedding day.

How do we receive our images?

You will receive your wedding photos (edited by me and in high resolution) via a beautiful secure password protected online gallery. You are able to download your photos directly from the gallery (in high and web resolution). You can also share the gallery or individual images with your loved ones and on social media.

Your wedding gallery will be hosted online for 24 months.

Your wedding gallery is linked to a beautiful online print store from where you and your loved ones can order prints, frames and canvases (all made right here in Australia by a professional print lab and delivered direct to your door). You will also receive a 20% off voucher to use in the print store within the first two weeks of your full gallery delivery (which your loved ones can use as well).

Do you offer albums?

Yes and I absolutely love them! A Fine Art Album containing all of your favourite images from your wedding day is truly the best way to preserve your memories and to show them off to your loved ones.

Your album will last a lifetime and become a favourite family heirloom. My albums are printed on beautiful archival paper and hand-crafted to the highest standards. They are also fully customisable with a multitude of cover choices, colours and cover designs.

We don’t like posing, is that ok?

Absolutely! And I’m so glad that you don’t!

This is something that pretty much all of my couples say and in fact, I am also not the biggest fan of overly posed and staged photos.

I photograph weddings in a very natural and relaxed style and will never create fake moments, make you do awkward things or do anything that doesn’t feel authentic.

I like to let the wedding day unfold naturally and to capture all those beautiful, genuine and unscripted moments.

But fear not, I will provide you with some gentle direction if and when needed – e.g. during the location portraits and family photos – but even this part of the day will be very relaxed and fun. And as for the rest of the day when you’re busy celebrating with your loved ones, you won’t even know I’m there.

Do we need a second photographer?

I photograph most weddings on my own quite comfortably and I actually prefer it this way so that I can focus on you and your loved ones.

There are of course times when a second photographer is quite handy – for example, if the getting ready locations aren’t nearby, if there are other time constraints on the day or if you have a guest list of 150+.

I can chat to you more about this and we can figure out whether a second shooter is needed. And of course, if you would just like to add one on, I would be more than happy to do so.

Can you help us with our run sheet?

Absolutely! I’ve been known to become a quasi wedding planner as I just love to help my couples have a seamless and relaxed day.

You can also check out my Wedding Planning Guide here – you will find some handy tips in here as to how long the different parts of the day take to photograph – but do keep in mind that all wedding days are different and this is a very general guide.

A month or so before your wedding day I will send you a questionnaire to gather all the important parts about the day (timings, addresses etc). I will then draft a run sheet for you to look over. We can then finalise all the timings and locations when we catch up in person before the wedding.

Will you travel for our wedding?

Absolutely! Although I’m based in Sydney I photograph a lot of weddings in the Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley, Palm Beach and the South Coast.

Please note that weddings outside a 50km radius of Sydney attract a travel fee. I will give you an estimate of cost when you enquire with me.

Travel fees for interstate/overseas weddings are quoted on a case by case basis.

What’s your vibe at a wedding?

I’m incredibly easy going and approachable and my goal is to blend in with your loved ones and get amongst it all.

I like to work with couples with whom I can be friends. In fact, I still keep in touch with many of my past brides and grooms and have gone on to photograph their little ones.

As for the way I work on the day, I’m unobtrusive and I move around as quietly as possible. I also don’t interfere with the flow of the day and I don’t create fake moments or stage anything. Having said that, I will keep an eye on the time and make sure we’re on track and will also gently direct you if and when needed.

 

Is there room to move on your package pricing?

Thank you for asking however my fees are firm. My pricing reflects my experience in the wedding industry, years spent perfecting my style and approach, and the time I spend on each and every client, before and after the wedding day.

I like to work with couples who see immense value in photographs and having someone along on their wedding day who will truly invest in them and their memories.

Long after your wedding day has come and gone, your photographs will remain as one of the only tangible reminders of the beautiful day you had with your loved ones, they will be with you for a lifetime and something you will look back on and show to future generations.

 

How do you feel about dogs at weddings? Will you be ok around our furry family members?

When a couple enquiries with me and tells me they have a dog or a cat my eyes literally light up! I cannot tell you how much I adore animals, and especially dogs and cats!! So yes, I am absolutely all for having your dog at the wedding and if possible I’d also love to meet your cat haha. For those of you curious about my dog Ollie (the black and white fur ball featured over on my Instagram account), he is a rescue German Spitz and he means the world to me 🙂

To make things official and reserve your wedding date with me I require you to sign my contract and pay a non-refundable part payment of $1,500.

And if you are not too sure how many hours coverage you need (which is often the case as weddings are planned a year or more ahead!) I am happy for you to lock in your date and we can then finalise the hours of coverage as your wedding day gets closer.
