I met Elise and Liam last year. It was a cold autumn day and I had just flown in to Adelaide that morning. We met in a little french cafe in Norwood and I knew straight away that we would get along very well. When the wedding day arrived, Adelaide was truly in summer mode (it was 43C on the day!). But it really didn’t matter at all because we had such an amazing time.
Elise and Liam were married in Brompton, followed by a relaxed reception at Maximilian’s Vineyard Restaurant in the Adelaide Hills.
I loved the many personal touches incorporated throughout the day. Gumtree leaves featured on the invites and real-life gumtree branches were hung up at the church for the ceremony, as well as being part of Elise’s bouquet and the boys’ boutonnieres.
In the lead up to the big day Elise sent me a photo of her wedding dress and oh my, the sparkle!! I’d been following the designer on Instagram and I couldn’t wait to see the dress on the big day. The brand is known for catering to the unique, refined and modern bride and it suited Elise perfectly.
While the day was visually stunning, what I enjoyed the most were the laughs and the interactions between the love birds, their bridal party, family and friends. The ceremony was my favourite part of the day. I watched as Elise entered the church, and then I glanced over at Liam to see tears well up in his eyes. It was amazing to be there in that moment.
I am so thankful to have been part of this amazing wedding and to have met so many lovely people on the day. A big heartfelt thank you goes out to you Elise and Liam, your wedding day was truly magical.
