ABOUT SONJA

I see photography as a quiet art. A way to capture not just images, but moments soaked in light, feeling, and truth. I’ve been photographing weddings for over a decade, and while I bring years of technical experience, what matters most to me is the feeling - the quiet glances, bursts of laughter, and those in-between moments you’ll want to remember forever.

Before photography, I worked as a lawyer, a career that honed my attention to detail, calm under pressure, and deep respect for trust. But my heart was always in art and storytelling, so I traded the office for the camera, and I’ve never looked back.

Outside of weddings, I’m drawn to the beauty of the natural world - the play of sunlight on water, the textures of the coast, and the details in nature you might otherwise walk past. I’m also a lifelong animal lover and share my days with my rescue dog Ollie who is my entire world.

Whether I’m documenting a wedding or photographing the details in nature, my approach is always the same: quiet observation, genuine connection, and a deep care for the story I’m telling.

You see your wedding as something to be felt, not performed. A day that unfolds naturally, shaped by the people around you, the atmosphere, and the moments that make it uniquely yours.

You care about more than the big moments. It’s the quieter, often overlooked parts of the day that shape its story. You want to be fully present with your guests, soaking in laughter, connection, and all the small gestures that make the day feel entirely yours, while a trusted hand quietly captures it all.

You want your photos to feel personal, true-to-you, and reflective of your day - something you return to again and again, remembering the joy, the intimacy, and the people you love most.

ABOUT YOU

An Artist’s Approach

I approach wedding photography as a quiet art, seeking to capture the beautiful light that paints your day - the soft glow through a veil, the warmth of a sunlit room, the gentle shadows that add depth and mood.

As an artist first and foremost, I see each wedding as a unique canvas, where emotions, light, and moments come together to create a living story.

I’m drawn to the authentic emotions that ripple through every moment: the laughter shared between friends, the tender glance between partners, the unspoken bonds between family members.

My style is gentle and unobtrusive, blending into the background so I can catch those fleeting, intimate details that tell your unique story.

The images I create are timeless and heartfelt, meant to carry the spirit of your day forward and bring back the feelings long after the day has passed.
