Royal Botanic Gardens & Art Gallery of NSW Wedding

There is something special about a wedding day that moves through places with their own sense of history. Helena and Alex’s spring celebration began among the gardens of Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden, before continuing into the Art Gallery of NSW for an evening surrounded by art, conversation and connection.

When Helena first got in touch with me, she mentioned that they loved the way my photographs brought a relaxed feeling to more formal settings, and how I captured people in a way that felt natural and genuine. That really resonated with me, because even in the most beautiful locations, it’s always the people and the moments between them that I’m looking for.

One of the most memorable parts of the day was having the opportunity to explore the gallery after hours - Helena and Alex wandering through the Grand Courts, surrounded by historic paintings and beautiful architecture.

The reception itself was relaxed and full of conversation, laughter and connection. Rather than a day focused on formality, it was about the people and the moments that unfolded naturally throughout the evening.

Looking back at Helena and Alex’s wedding, what stands out most is the balance between the beauty of the setting and the warmth of the people within it. A day surrounded by gardens, art and history, but ultimately remembered for the relationships and moments that filled it.
