A relaxed black tie wedding at Three Blue Ducks Sydney.

Kate and Ben’s wedding brought together two places that have been a big part of their story - their life in New York and their connection to home in Sydney. After meeting through mutual friends while living overseas, they chose Three Blue Ducks for their reception because the industrial warehouse setting reminded them of a little piece of New York in Sydney.

They began the day with an intimate ceremony at Observatory Hill, surrounded by their closest family and friends, followed by drinks and canapés before heading to Rosebery for the evening celebration at one of my all time favourite venues, Three Blue Ducks. The reception perfectly reflected what mattered most to them - great food, a beautiful atmosphere and time spent with the people they love.

With a black tie dress code, elegant florals and the raw character of Three Blue Ducks as the backdrop, the evening balanced sophistication with a relaxed sense of fun.

What I loved most was that the day never felt overly staged - Kate and Ben wanted to be present with their guests, enjoy the celebration and have their photographs reflect the moments as they naturally unfolded.
