Christina & Daniel

ROYAL BOTANIC GARDEN SYDNEY & BOTANIC HOUSE

“I love your candid unposed shots and the way you capture the love of couples.”
Christina

Christina and Daniel’s wedding was a beautiful spring celebration at the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney, beginning with a ceremony at the historic Lion Gate Lodge before continuing with a reception at Botanic House.

When Christina first got in touch with me, she described the feeling she was hoping for: a clean, wispy and romantic garden wedding. With floral design by one of my favourite florists, Ellebore, the gardens were the perfect setting for a day filled with soft details, beautiful light and a relaxed atmosphere.

Before the ceremony, Christina and Daniel chose to have a first look and share private vows with each other, with me quietly photographing nearby. It was such a special moment to witness and a chance for them to slow down, take everything in and spend a few quiet moments together before the celebrations began.

What I loved about this wedding was the balance between everything being thoughtfully considered while still feeling natural. Christina and Daniel wanted their guests to have an amazing time and to be surrounded by the people closest to them, and that sense of connection was present throughout the day.

The Royal Botanic Gardens is one of my favourite places in Sydney to photograph. The combination of historic buildings, greenery and changing light creates so many beautiful pockets for portraits, and it was the perfect backdrop for Christina and Daniel’s celebration.
