Bron & Andrew’s Vibrant Somerley House Wedding | Southern Highlands
When Bron and Andrew first reached out to me, they mentioned they were looking for a photographer who could make them feel completely at ease while capturing the true energy and colour of their day.
They chose Somerley House in the Southern Highlands for a day centred around what mattered most to them: incredible food, a packed dance floor, and unforgettable photography. Living in Sydney with their beloved rescue dog, Bron and Andrew wanted their wedding day to be an effortless reflection of their lifestyle - fun, relaxed, and filled with moments of drinking, eating, and being merry with their closest family and friends.
The morning began with Bron preparing onsite at Somerley House, while Andrew got ready nearby in Bowral. The styling perfectly complemented the Somerley romantic, grand charm. The team at Ivy Lane Collective curated breathtaking, lush floral installations that brought the spaces to life, while Bron looked absolutely spectacular in a timeless, modern gown by Karen Willis Holmes.
Following a beautiful ceremony, guests were treated to refreshing Aperol Spritzes in the warm sunshine on the estate grounds. Wanting to maximise their time with their favourite people, Bron and Andrew joined the cocktail hour to mingle and celebrate before we slipped away for their portrait session around the stunning property.
The celebration continued late into the evening, culminating in a spectacular finale. After the formal cake cutting, guests stepped out onto the lawns of the historic estate. Together, everyone stood outside the old home, looking up into the night sky as a magnificent fireworks display lit up the darkness.
