A relaxed summer wedding at St George Sailing Club

Seppi and Jackson’s wedding at St George Sailing Club in Sans Souci was a relaxed waterfront celebration, bringing together a Persian Sofreh Aghd ceremony with a party-focused afternoon surrounded by family and friends. Seppi and Jackson wanted the day to feel fun and informal, without too many traditional formalities. The Persian ceremony was a meaningful part of the celebration, incorporating Seppi’s Iranian heritage into a day that reflected them both.

With views across the George’s River, St George Sailing Club was a beautiful setting for the afternoon. Following the ceremony, guests gathered on the outside deck for sunset cocktails, making the most of the waterfront setting and the changing evening light. We also took portraits on the wharf, looking out over the river.

When Seppi and Jackson first got in touch, they told me about Chester, their much-loved 15-year-old rescue Pomeranian, who was very much the centre of their world. As a fellow rescue-dog person, with my own German Spitz, Ollie, I immediately felt a connection. We spent some time together in a nearby park before the ceremony, taking photos with Chester, which was such a lovely part of the day.
