You had us in tears. We knew the photos would be beautiful but these have honestly blown us away. Jack and I just wanted to thank you so so much, from the bottom of our hearts.

You were truly amazing and made our day so special, all our guests commented how beautiful (and considerate!) you were.

You captured our day so impeccably.”

BENDOOLEY ESTATE, SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS

A Romantic Bendooley Estate Wedding

Steph and Jack’s wedding at Bendooley Estate was one of those days that felt exactly as they hoped it would. Natural, genuine and full of the people who mattered most to them.

Steph got ready at a beautiful property in Burrawang, while Jack spent the late morning with his groomsmen in Bowral. Just before the ceremony, Steph and her bridesmaids had their final touch-ups at the Bendooley Estate Homestead, which is one of my favourite places for pre-ceremony photographs - the property has an old world feel and the light inside the Homestead is absolutely divine.

The ceremony took place under the estate’s century-old trees, sculpted rose beds and expansive lawns. It was a beautiful setting for a wedding that felt romantic, elegant and restrained without ever feeling overly formal. One of my favourite florists, Ellebore, crafted a modern romantic atmosphere with the use of soft pink and white flowers and plenty of understated greenery.

Following the ceremony, we all headed to the Lakeside Pavilion. It’s a beautiful open air-space that overlooks the lake and gives couples and their guests a chance to enjoy cocktails and canapés before the reception.

Steph and Jack chose the Bendooley Book Barn for their reception - a Southern Highlands gem and one of my favourite indoor reception venues. The reception was beautifully styled for an intimate yet elegant atmosphere, with Steph and Jack sitting with their guests on one of the long tables. This created such a warm and genuine atmosphere, and it felt like they were fully part of the celebration around them.

From the beginning, Steph said the most important thing to them was that the day felt natural and true to who they are. That came through in every part of the wedding, from the quiet moments earlier in the day to the way they spent the evening surrounded by family and friends. This day remains one of my all time favourite weddings.
