Autumn Wedding at The Mint Sydney

Late April in Sydney brings a softer kind of light. The days are shorter, the air is cooler, and the city begins to shift towards the quieter feeling of autumn.

Kerrie and Justin held their wedding at The Mint in Sydney. With rain starting to fall, the ceremony was moved indoors, creating an intimate atmosphere among the sandstone walls of this historic Sydney venue. Rather than being something to work around, the weather became part of the story - the reflections, the muted tones and the warmth of everyone gathered inside.

After the ceremony, we were able to step outside for a few portraits before guests settled in for a relaxed late lunch reception.

Later in the afternoon, we wandered beyond The Mint onto Macquarie Street, surrounded by some of Sydney’s most beautiful heritage architecture. With the rain falling around us, we took our time exploring the city streets. I still remember walking behind Kerrie and Justin with my camera in one hand and an umbrella in the other, photographing those quiet moments between the two of them.

These are often the photographs I treasure most - the ones that could only have happened because of the day they were given.
